I'm Patrick. I make things that grow slowly and reliably, and I tend to keep tending them long after the launch. The work that's stuck around — Iris MediaWorks (16 years), Be Electric (since '16), The Tank — has all looked like that.

My first life was theatre. I worked in set construction, lighting, and sound, and expected to spend my life there — but one phone call landed me on a film set. That movie changed my trajectory.

My second life was producing video. I co‑founded Iris MediaWorks in 2004 and spent sixteen years making feature films and commercials/branded content for General Electric, Hewlett Packard, Sesame Workshop, and a long list of others. Somewhere in there I produced a few features and a Webby‑winning web series.

My third life is producing live video. In 2020 I started PTR & Co for professional live streaming — multi‑cam, graphics overlays, multicast to wherever the audience lives. The same craft, just rehearsed less.

My fourth life happens off the clock. I serve on the boards of The Tank and the Ditmas Park West Neighborhood Association, sit on the executive board of the PS 889 Parent Association, ride bikes, raise two kids with my wife, and over‑water about fifty houseplants.
